What is PCDC?


  • Phosphatidylcholine (PC)

    • Most commonly used for fat cell lysis by affecting the permeability of the adipocyte membrane for fat cell mobilization.

    • Most studied agent used in mesotherapy or lipotherapy

    • makes up 40% of human cell membranes

    • Zwitterionic with lipophilie and hydrophilic properties

    • Prevalent in nervous tissue; surfactant

    Sodium Deoxycholate (DC)

    • Bile salt, FDA approved as an additive to amphotericin B- No FDA status as subcutaneous injection

    • increase fat dissolution effective of PC through disintegration of adipocytes.

    • natural substance- no known allergies

    • generally present in 42-47 MG per CC mixed with PC 50 MG per CC

Side effects & complICATIONS


  • Swelling as a Reaction to the injection or injected material/areas of hardness due to inflammation.

  • Pain at the treatment site

  • Redness of the skin (erythema or hyperemia)

  • Bruising of the treatment site

  • Incomplete correction as to drive further corrections of the product

  • Under correction resulting in the need for additional treatment

  • Trouble swallowing

  • Nerve injury in the jaw that can cause an uneven smile or facial muscle weakness

  • Open sores (ulcers)

  • Damage and tissue cell-death (necrosis) around the injection site

  • Hair loss

  • Numbness
